My Story

I started out studying nutrition at Marywood University in 2004 but then as part of my general education requirements I developed a love for psychology.  I completed by Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, obtained my RD, and then moved to Philadelphia, PA to obtain a Master's degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology with a specialty in Child and Adolescent therapy at Chestnut Hill College.  From there I completed over 3000 hours of supervised practice treating people with eating disorders, addictions, depression, anxiety, trauma, and personality disorders.  I received my Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in 2013.  I am currently licensed as a LPC in the state of Connecticut and as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of California.  I am also currently licensed as a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist in the State of New York.  This means I am licensed as a dietitian in NY and CA and can provide virtual nutrition sessions to NY and CA clients.  I recently moved to CA in 2020.  I find providing nutritional counseling and psychotherapy to be my passions, and I am always excited to help others.

I am recovered from my own eating disorder.  My personal history has increased my passion for treating those with eating disorders.

Hayley's Approach

As a Registered Dietitian and Psychotherapist I understand both aspects to making changes to food intake.  I take a humanistic approach to my sessions as I understand that this really is your life, and I want to partner with you on realistic, actionable goals.  That being said, I also have your back and am able to offer expert recommendations to help steer you in the right direction.  My eventual goal with all clients I treat is to help provide you with the nutrition information needed to make informed, healthful choices regarding your nourishing your body.
